Brand
Brand (Swedish for "uncontrolled fire", such as a forest fire or house fire) is an anarchist socialist magazine, published four times a year. The publication was originally launched in 1898 as the official organ of the Young Socialists, a revolutionary youth wing of the Social Democratic Party. During the first half of the 20th century, Brand's circulation was in the tens of thousands. To avoid censorship of sensitive subjects, the magazine would sometimes publish specific issues under different titles, like "The Russian Threat" or "The Morality Threat", and members of Brand's editorial team regularly served time in prison.

Since the 1950s, Brand no longer has any official party affiliation, but has had close relations to the Swedish syndicalist union SAC and its organ, the magazine Arbetaren ("The Worker"). The last time Brand got in trouble with the law was in 2000, after the magazine published a humorous guide to rioting, which Swedish authorities argued was used by squatters.

Brand was relaunched in its current format in 2010. Today it is a non profit small media project, focusing on movements and social struggles in Sweden and internationally. Its team consists of a few dozen volunteers, most of whom are not journalists, but members of various social movements.
moloko plus
moloko plus is a non-commercial printed almanac. It was created by a group of professional journalists and artists, who were unsatisfied with the censorship on their workplaces and biased media-coverage of sensitive topics (such as terrorism, drug use, political violence, etc.). Its main goal is to provide the Russian audience with balanced and self-reflexive information on these topics in order to dismantle unquestionable stigmatizing labels, generated by state-run and corporate media, and turn them into a subject of discussion and critical research.

moloko plus was created in 2015, it's first issue ("Terrorism") was published in 2016 after a successful crowdfunding campaign. Since then three more issues have been published: "Drugs", "Revolution" and "Patriarchy". Primarily being a printed journalistic project, moloko plus has succeeded in creating a significant community of followers in different social networks and has recently launched a website. As an independent project covering sensitive topics moloko plus has faced trouble with Russian authorities and right-wing activists.

Today moloko plus functions as an independent non-hierarchical team of journalists, researchers and artists. It supports in-depth journalistic research, freedom of speech and critical thinking.
